The Mventech story.
Mventech is a global mining technology and engineering group delivering management, engineering and operational excellence across base metals, precious metals, and coal.
Founded in 2018, headquartered in South Africa with delivery on the ground across four continents. The company was built by practitioners who had spent careers on the project and operations side — consultants, engineers, and project leaders who kept reaching for a tool that didn't exist.
MEO is the result. Not a product we built to sell — a product we built because we kept needing it ourselves on the studies we deliver.
The MEO story
Why MEO exists.
MEO started on a study. The team needed an integrated cost model — something that would let schedule, cost, fleet, and financial outputs move together when the mine design changed. The spreadsheet approach was taking weeks per iteration. The commercial tools were either too generic or too expensive for the scope.
So we built it. The MDC module came first — a component canvas for mine design. Scheduling followed. Then costing, fleet, labour, financial. Each module was added because a project needed it, and each one was designed to connect to the others rather than stand alone.
The result is a platform where a study team can go from geometry to IRR in one model — and where a change to the schedule automatically updates the cost, the fleet, the labour, and the cash flow. That's what MEO is. A working mine economic model, not a blank spreadsheet.
